Tera began her food systems career as an AmeriCorps*Vista, serving for over two years as an organic, urban farmer for Trevecca Nazarene University’s J.V. Morsch Center for Social Justice. After a four-year stint as an ELL teacher in South Korea, she formally apprenticed for two years at Caney Fork Farms, then managed organic, no/low till vegetable operations across Middle TN -- including her own, Magpie Farm – before returning to Caney Fork Farms as Vegetable Production Manager.
In early 2022, Tera founded Sweet Radish, a 501(c)3 nonprofit that matches CSA shares from local, regenerative farms to New American families experiencing food insecurity. She holds a Master of Science in Sustainability with a Food Systems Concentration from Lipscomb University. Tera is currently the Director of Food Access at The Nashville Food Project, where she is dedicated to co-creating a food system that is just and equitable for all.
