beet & berry smoothie

Vibrant, slightly earthy, and naturally sweet—this smoothie is a powerhouse of nutrients and color. Beets bring antioxidants and grounding energy, while berries add brightness and a touch of summer magic. Perfect for breakfast, a post-garden snack, or a refreshing reset on a warm day.

Ingredients:

  • 1 small beet, peeled and grated or steamed (can be raw or cooked)

  • 1 cup frozen berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries or a mix)

  • 1/2 banana (for creaminess)

  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt or plant-based alternative

  • 1/2 cup almond milk or any milk of choice

  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)

  • 1/2 tsp grated fresh ginger (optional, for zing)

  • Ice cubes, if desired

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.

  2. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.

  3. Serve immediately. Garnish with a few fresh berries or mint leaves if you’re feeling fancy.
